About
Karing Kind, in business since 2009.
Based in Boulder, Colorado.
The Challenge
15+ years in business, invisible on Google. Ranking 30+ for local keywords in a highly competitive Colorado market, off the main downtown corridor.
The Solution
Website modernisation, site speed optimisation, Google Business Profile, local SEO.

The Challenge

Open since 2009.

Still buried on Google.

  • Ranking position 30+ for local Boulder dispensary keywords
  • Leafly and offline marketing not generating consistent results
  • Website functional but outdated, slow to load
  • DIY marketing attempts abandoned due to time constraints
  • Off the main downtown Boulder corridor, making discovery harder
  • Needed a true partner, not just a vendor checking boxes

Karing Kind has been serving Boulder since 2009. More than 15 years of operating, a reputation built on carrying only the best and cleanest cannabis products, and a loyal customer base. None of that translated into Google visibility.

Boulder and the broader Colorado market are among the most competitive cannabis landscapes in the country. Karing Kind’s location north of the downtown core added an extra layer of difficulty — customers searching for a dispensary in Boulder weren’t naturally being directed their way, regardless of how good the store was.

They had tried Leafly, offline marketing, and handling it themselves when bandwidth allowed. None of it moved the needle consistently. What they were looking for wasn’t just a service provider — they wanted a team that would work with them at every step, understand their store, and treat their growth as a shared goal.

The Solution

Modernise the asset.

Then make Colorado find it.

Two moves, built in sequence. The website had to come first — there was no point driving traffic to a slow, outdated site.

1

Website modernisation and speed optimisation

The existing site had been built by another company and was functional but dated. We modernised the design, improved the user experience throughout the shopping journey, and significantly improved page load speed. Site speed is a direct Google ranking factor and a direct driver of whether customers complete a purchase or abandon — fixing it was the prerequisite for everything else.

2

Local SEO in one of Colorado's most competitive markets

Boulder is not an easy market to rank in. Colorado has been legal since 2012, the dispensary density is high, and the competition for first-page positions is real. Karing Kind’s location north of the downtown core added another obstacle — they weren’t the natural first result for someone searching in the city centre. Getting to the first page required consistent, sustained SEO work across their site, their Google Business Profile, and their local citation footprint. It wasn’t fast. But it worked.

ď“„

Karing Kind weren’t looking for an agency to hand work off to. They wanted a team embedded in their growth — one that understood cannabis, communicated consistently, and treated their results as a shared responsibility. That’s the relationship we built.
